Are you tired of Metro Manila’s congested roads? Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is encouraging commuters to use the Pasig Ferry as an alternative means of transportation.

Rising Tide developed the simple and straight forward app for MMDA in the hopes of enticing commuters to use the Pasig Ferry. The app was launched today in the presence of MMDA Chairman Emerson Carlos, Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission Executive Director Ramil Tan, and Pasig Mayor Maribel Eusebio.

Todd Schweitzer, COO of Rising Tide, also gave a demonstration of the app and praised the efforts of the MMDA to use technology to improve the overall experience of daily commuters.

With the MMDA Pasig Ferry App, you can check the different routes and rates per station, get the latest announcements such as changes in prices or schedule in operations, and find the nearest Ferry station.

If you click on the Routes and Rates feature, you can see the list of all the stations, their location, and their operators. Simply click on the destination to check the schedule and fares for that day. If you go to the Announcements tab, you can read relevant news about the Pasig Ferry, and you also get alerted to changes in schedule or ticket prices. For the Ferry Station Finder, the app will help you locate the nearest Ferry Station, based on your location using GPS.
